Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (production in India) · Founded by Ashwini Reddi
Ashwini Reddi graduated from the London School of Economics, built a career in economics and policy, and then followed her real calling: design. Founded in Philadelphia, Neem Crafts is her testament to what luxury actually means -- not high cost, but a proper appreciation of craft. Working closely with highly trained artisans across India, Ashwini layers contemporary design aesthetics onto India's deep traditional skills to create objects that discerning people anywhere are proud to own.
Ashwini Reddi studied economics and policy at the London School of Economics and Osmania University and could have built a very different kind of career. Instead she found her way to design -- and to a conviction that the word "luxury" had been misappropriated by an industry that equated it with price tags rather than craft. Real luxury, she believes, is the proper appreciation of design and craftsmanship. Neem Crafts is built on that belief.
Founded in Philadelphia, Neem works directly with a team of highly trained and experienced artisans across India, infusing contemporary design sensibility into traditional techniques that have been refined over generations. The result is a collection of home goods -- tableware, textiles, and decorative objects -- that sit at the exact meeting point of heritage skill and modern aesthetic. Beautiful in the way that only handmade things are. Considered in the way that only a trained designer can make them. Ashwini also serves as a founding trustee of SRI Trust, a charitable organization supporting over 1,000 school children in government schools in Hyderabad -- making Neem a brand where the social mission runs as deep as the design philosophy.
On a registry, Neem Crafts is the category that rewards looking closely -- objects where the craft reveals itself the longer you spend with them.
