Laguna Beach, California · Est. 2014 · Founded by Erin Crandall
Erin Crandall grew up on the sun-drenched shores of Laguna Beach, spending her life at the water's edge -- and for years, doing it with ratty old towels like everyone else. A former marketing and PR executive, she recognized the gap clearly: beautiful, thoughtfully designed beach towels simply didn't exist. She founded Ruby Mint in Laguna Beach in 2014 to fill it. Sustainably made from OEKO-TEX certified cotton, bold prints, generous sizing, and the kind of quality that lasts well beyond a single summer.
Erin Crandall is a Laguna Beach native who spent her career in marketing and PR before turning her eye toward something she'd always loved and never been fully satisfied by: beach gear. She had spent a lifetime at the water -- sun, salt, chlorine, all of it -- reaching for towels that were either uninspired, poorly made, or both. The design world had solved for so many things. The beach towel wasn't one of them.
She founded Ruby Mint in 2014 in Laguna Beach with a clear vision: sustainably made, oversized beach towels and outdoor essentials with the kind of bold, playful design that belonged in a well-curated home as much as on a sandy shore. Every towel is made from 100% sustainable cotton sourced through the Cotton LEADS Program and certified by OEKO-TEX -- free of harmful chemicals, built to hold color and softness through years of sun and salt. The seasonal collections balance graphic prints with relaxed sophistication, designed for the person who brings the same level of intention to their days outside as they do to everything else in their life.
On a registry, Ruby Mint is the outdoor category -- the towel that goes to the beach, the pool, and the backyard, and looks beautiful doing all three.
