Nirali Guzman grew up in Mumbai, surrounded by the kind of color, texture, and craft that gets woven into your memory permanently. When she moved to the United States, she missed it -- and Casa Amarosa was her answer. Founded in Washington D.C., the brand works directly with women artisans and micro-enterprises across India to bring handcrafted textiles, ceramics, and tabletop pieces to homes everywhere.
Nirali Guzman grew up in an entrepreneurial family in Mumbai, watching the artisans around her and absorbing the rich visual world of Indian craft from an early age. She left to study and build a career in brand strategy, living in France and eventually settling in the United States -- but she carried India with her. Casa Amarosa began as a search for a way to bring that world into her new home, and slowly became a vehicle for something larger.
The brand works with over 100 artisan partners and micro-enterprises across India, many of them women-led, using time-honored production techniques to create pieces that are small-batch and individually crafted. Velvet pillows, hammered glassware, hand-dipped ceramics, woven table linens -- every piece is designed to carry texture and warmth into a space, and every slight variation is a signature, not a flaw. Casa Amarosa is stocked by over 1,000 retailers worldwide, from independent boutiques to Ron Herman Japan, without ever losing the intimacy of what it is: one woman's love letter to where she came from, made into objects you can live with.
