New York, NY · Est. 2019 · Founded by Stephanie Nass
Stephanie Nass moved to France at 16 to study cooking, went on to earn a Grand Diplôme in culinary arts and a degree in Art History from Columbia, and then -- at 23 -- started hosting art-inspired dinner parties in her first New York apartment. That supper club became a catering business, which became Chefanie: a culinary lifestyle brand built entirely around the belief that beauty at the table is its own form of love.
Stephanie Nass knew what she wanted to be from the beginning. At 16 she moved to France to study food. At Columbia she stacked all her classes into two days a week so she could spend the rest of her time in Manhattan restaurant kitchens. She graduated with a degree in Art History and a Grand Diplôme in Professional Culinary Arts -- and then, at 23, started hosting intimate art-inspired suppers in her first New York apartment.
That dinner club became Victory Club, a roving social dining experience for young professionals. Victory Club became a catering business. And in 2016, that catering business produced something entirely new: Chefanie Sheets, an edible dessert accessory that could transform any store-bought cake into something extraordinary. The idea went everywhere -- Today Show, O Magazine, New York Times, Town & Country. In 2019, Stephanie launched a full tableware and accessories line, extending the same vision to the objects surrounding the food. The brand is named after her childhood nickname.
Chefanie is what happens when an art historian and a trained chef decide the table is a canvas. The pieces are colorful, considered, and designed for people who treat entertaining as a creative act. On a registry, Chefanie is the brand that makes the whole table feel intentional -- and makes guests ask where everything is from before they've even sat down.
