San Francisco, CA · Est. 2013 · Founded by Jake Miller
Fellow was born in 2013 out of a simple conviction: your morning deserves better. Founded by Jake Miller at Stanford, the San Francisco brand designs coffee gear that belongs on your counter, not hidden in a cabinet -- kettles, grinders, and mugs where every detail has been obsessed over, tested, and refined until it's exactly right.
Fellow started as a class project and became one of the most beloved names in specialty coffee. Founder Jake Miller launched a Kickstarter in 2013 with a single premise -- that beautifully designed, intuitive gear could bring the cafe experience home without the clutter or the intimidation. The Duo Coffee Steeper was born after eight months and countless prototypes. The Stagg EKG followed, and quickly became the gold standard for pour-over kettles, used by World Brewers Cup champions and Sunday morning home brewers alike.
What sets Fellow apart is the refusal to separate form from function. Every product in their lineup -- from the Ode Brew Grinder to the Carter Move Mug -- is a complete reimagination of what that object could be, developed slowly and deliberately until it earns its place. Their San Francisco flagship, a store and playground in the Mission District, is equal parts coffee bar, classroom, and community space. Fellow gear wins design awards. It also just makes the mornings better.
